Which Hawaii state library will get the largest online learning?
The University of Hawaii is expected to take over the Honolulu Library’s Digital Learning Center, which had been home to online learning.
Hawaii state Superintendent of Libraries Chris O’Brien said the center will be the largest open online learning facility in the state.
The new center will have classrooms, labs, classrooms and classrooms in the same locations as the current online learning center.
“The center will bring in the best in Hawaii and bring in our students,” O’Briensaid.
“Our students will be able to do online research, take classes and participate in our classes and workshops, which we are proud of.”
The state will pay for the facility through a $2 million investment.
The project, which started with a $100,000 grant from the Hawaii Education Trust, has been completed, and the new center is expected in June 2019.
O’Brien, who is also a member of the state’s digital library board, said he believes the state will have the best digital learning system in the country by the time the center opens.
